Tom Egan - Artist with Water...
has been creating educational interactives since 1997. He designed and fabricated his first educational water exhibit in 1998, and began fabricating and installing different versions of his water exhibits in 1999.
He has permanent water exhibits installed in Science Centers and Museums across Canada and the USA, and even has one on the roof of a 3 story tall museum in San Juan, Puerto Rico (an island in the Caribbean Ocean). His earliest exhibits are still open to the public and intriguing visitors today. He frequently receives e-mails from parents and grandparents thanking him for creating captivating environments that are intriguing to children from 3 to 103 years old.
He has worked with the Museum of Tech Innovation in San Jose, CA to create two unique water exhibits, one of which was designed from the start to be a unique water interactive in a special gallery being developed by the Museum.
He has worked with the Scripps Institute Oceanography Birch Aquarium in La Jolla, CA to develop an outdoor gallery of 3 of his exhibits. This outdoor gallery overlooks one of the most picturesque vistas of the Pacific coast. He has interacted with both the Science Museum in London, UK and the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry in bringing his Bio-Reactor exhibit forward as a viable renewable energy exhibit. |
